Course Summary

This course is aimed at osteopaths who wish to enhance their ability to deal with paediatric patients.

BCOM is known for its holistic osteopathy and this will be incorporated into the PgCert for Children’s Osteopathy. BCOM is also known for its quality in teaching and in its small friendly atmosphere.

Students will have interactive lectures and will participate in a post graduate teaching clinic under the supervision of senior members of the osteopathic staff who specialise in teaching children’s osteopathy.

Entry requirements

M.Ost, BSc Ost, DO, or equivalent. All students must be working as osteopaths, and be registered with the GOsC (or the equivalent in their country). Work Experience - Students must be working as osteopaths and have a proportion of children as their caseload. Students must have a valid First Aid Certificate. Interview - All potential students will be required to attend an interview. Independent Safeguarding Agency (ISA) / Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) (formerly CRB) - All potential students will have enhanced DBS checks and these will be assessed on individual merit under the Plymouth University guidelines.
