Overview
Enhance your professional practice with a postgraduate radiography qualification. Developed for registered practitioners who are looking to develop their professional skills, our MSc Clinical Reporting will enable you to specialise in diagnostic radiography at postgraduate level.
Validated by the College of Radiographers, this postgraduate-level radiography course will enhance your knowledge and skills in the interpretation of medical images. Upon completion of this Master's degree for radiographers, you will have enhanced your understanding of the four pillars of advanced clinical practice: management, leadership, education, and research.
Designed with flexibility in mind, you will complete modules that are pathway specific. You will also have the opportunity to choose open modules, so you can study a specific area of clinical reporting practice.

Building on your existing clinical expertise, this module will introduce you to the knowledge and skills required to independently report MRI spine and knee examinations. You will focus on the role of the MRI examination within the diagnostic paradigm of contemporary interprofessional patient care.
Expanding on the learning you acquired from MRI Reporting 1, this module will enable you to develop knowledge of complex pathology and how to communicate findings to members of the interdisciplinary team. You will reflect on and evaluate critically your development as a reporting practitioner in the context of current health care policy.
Building on your existing clinical expertise, this module will introduce you to the knowledge and skills required to independently report musculoskeletal radiographs. You will focus on the role of musculoskeletal radiographs within the diagnostic paradigm of contemporary interprofessional patient care.

Building on your existing clinical expertise, this module will introduce you to the knowledge and skills required to independently report chest radiographs of adult patients. You will focus on the role of the chest radiograph within the diagnostic paradigm of contemporary interprofessional patient care.
Expanding on the learning you acquired from Adult Chest Reporting 1, this module will enable you to develop knowledge of complex pathology and how to communicate findings to members of the interdisciplinary team. You will reflect on and evaluate critically your development as a reporting practitioner in the context of current health care policy.
Using a variety of learning and teaching methods, the aim of this module is to enable the student to reflect on and evaluate critically the relationship between pathology and radiographic appearances of the adult chest and thorax.
The aim of this module is to enable the student to acquire and develop the competences required to recognise, evaluate and report on the radiographic appearances related to the adult chest. The range of learning and teaching methods used will encourage appropriate communication of imaging findings to healthcare professionals.
This module aims to enable students to reflect on and evaluate critically the leadership skills required for reporting in practice. Group discussion will examine the range of leadership and management approaches relevant to clinical reporting practice. Students will be encouraged to be innovative in proposed approaches to service improvement related to clinical reporting in their own workplace.

You will learn how to synthesize a proposed diagnosis from the radiological features and clinical presentation of patients referred from a broad range of sources and expertly communicate these findings. You will further your understanding of the role and limitations of the abdominal radiograph within contemporary healthcare practice.

This module will cover key leadership principles, practices, and challenges specific to the allied health field and in the context of current healthcare policy.
This module aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop a robust research proposal in your field of allied health. The course will cover all aspects of proposal development, including identifying a research problem, reviewing relevant literature, designing a methodology, and considering ethical issues.
Having successfully completed the Developing Allied Health Research module or equivalent, this module will develop your understanding of research practice and provide you with the opportunity to undertake a substantial piece of independent research in your field of allied health practice. You will develop advanced research skills, critical appraisal of existing literature, and contribute original insights to your chosen area of study. Your allocated supervisor will support and guide you throughout the module.
