Course Summary

This MSc course provides deep insight into the individual and psychosocial factors that enhance organisational health and performance. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Association for Business Psychology (ABP). You will have the chance to pursue your own interest by conducting research in your chosen area of work and organisational psychology.Our programme is designed to give you the theoretical, evidence-based, and practical knowledge to work as an organisational psychologist.You will have access to specialist topics such as mindfulness in the workplace, occupational health psychology, work design, coaching psychology, and innovative selection methods.You will learn how to select the best employees for job role, how to deliver effective training and coaching to help people achieve their potential, and understand how to facilitate the design of healthy jobs and teams.We take a holistic perspective considering the individual, the team, and the wider organisation. Everything we teach has the potential to be applied in practice.

Modules

The module a) Presents a critical understanding of the ways in which individuals learn and develop in the context of work and organisations b) introduces cognitive theories of learning and skill development c) discusses theories of occupational choice frame.

Entry requirements

All applicants should have an upper second-class honours degree (or an equivalent grade from an overseas institution). You should also be able to demonstrate some form of work experience within your application. Work experience in a psychology-related or human resource setting is highly desirable, but not essential. Applicants who are interested in becoming a chartered psychologist within the British system should hold the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
