Overview

The Masters in Investment Management programme is among Henley’s portfolio of Flagship Masters in Finance programmes. The Masters in Finance programme is ranked No. 7 in the UK by the Financial Times.

MSc Investment management at the ICMA Centre is part of our Masters in Finance Flagship Masters programmes. It is one of our longest established programmes and is affiliated with the CFA Institute. The programme is designed for those targeting a career within the asset management industry and, in particular, roles related to wealth management, investment and portfolio management, as well as investment analysis.

During this MSc programme, you will develop knowledge in a range of specialised areas including applied trading, portfolio and fund management, wealth management, alternative investments, ethics in investment management and risk management, among others. You will also have the opportunity to apply this knowledge in practice through the use of simulations, the latest financial analysis software, case-based learning and take part in the portfolio management challenge designed for MSc Investment Management students. You will benefit from professional guest speakers drawn from the global investment industry in the City of London.

Parallel with your studies, you will also have the opportunity to prepare for the CFA level 1 exam. Focused weekly training sessions for the exam are run by Fitch Learning, one of the worlds leading Financial Training providers. All training and CFA exam registration fees are included in the programme’s tuition fees. The ICMA Centre is a CFA University Affiliate- this is in recognition that this degree covers at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge, the CFA Institute Ethical and Professional Standards, and other requirements.
