Course overview:Receive training in the physical understanding required for healthcare and medical research on this Master's course. You'll explore aspects of human physiology, and the use of radiation in treatment and in clinical imaging. You'll also become familiar with the signal and image processing methods needed for the design and optimal use of various systems used in diagnosis and research. An individual research project will provide you with the opportunity to develop and apply your skills to current research problems in the field. Teaching is shared across our South Kensington and White City campuses. This includes the Sir Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Hub, our new centre of MedTech innovation.Professional accreditation:This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and Institution of Engineering Designers (IED), on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
