Prepare for direct entry to a postgraduate degree in a range of Economics and Social Sciences subjects, from Journalism to International Politics, at City, University of London.
On campus and online study options This program is available to study either on campus or online – giving you the flexibility to choose what’s best for you.
If you start online and are then able to travel to the UK, you’ll be able to transfer to an on-campus program in January or March/April 2022. You’ll need to meet any visa requirements and demonstrate good attendance and performance during your studies online.
If you’re applying for an Online Extended program, you’ll be offered an Online Academic English plus Online or on-campus academic pathway study plan.

Entry to all postgraduate degrees at City, University of London is highly competitive and students hoping to study at postgraduate level must maintain high standards throughout their Graduate Diploma programme. Whilst grades in the Graduate Diploma programme do not count towards your postgraduate degree, your performance will be used to determine whether you meet the criteria for entry to your chosen postgraduate degree programme at the University. Please see the progression requirements for your intended degree below.
Assessment is both formal and informal, designed to help students build on their successes and meet requirements for entry to postgraduate study. You will be assessed by a combination of:
an independent research project - a written version and a presentation
exams
coursework which may include written assignments, reports, practical exercises, group and individual research projects, presentations and problem-solving exercises.
