Course Summary

Prepare for direct entry to a range of postgraduate degrees at the University of East Anglia's Norwich Business School, School of Economics, School of Education, School of International Development, and School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies. Develop the self-organization and study skills needed to undertake postgraduate studies, as well as an understanding of basic theories, perspectives and concepts in your chosen discipline. Communicate confidently in written and spoken form to demonstrate relevant knowledge and understanding of basic academic concepts and theories. Develop teamwork and negotiation skills to confidently present information verbally. Demonstrate analytical skills through the application of key principles and evidence-based discussion capabilities.

Modules

This module follows on from the Introduction to Research module. You will make enquiries into a topic of your choice and follow it up with an independent research project under the supervision of teaching staff. You'll then give a verbal presentation of your findings and methodologies.

Entry requirements

Pass in an undergraduate degree in any academic subject or Diploma (3-5 years) with high grades in any academic subject. If you wish to progress to an advanced MSc at Norwich Business School, you will require a background in a business or numerical-related subject area. If you wish to progress to MSc Impact Evaluation for Global Development, you will require a strong statically background. If you wish to progress to MA in Mathematics Education, you will require a background in mathematics. Age requirements: 18 years and above.
