Our internationally renowned department fosters a vibrant research environment that aims to equip and inspire researchers to address technological and societal challenges. We welcome postgraduate researchers from the UK and all over the world to further their aspirations as part of this goal. The Department of Engineering has an international reputation in the fields of energy, information systems, robotics and telecommunications with increasing strengths in systems engineering, control, material science and thermofluids. We have a strong grant portfolio in all our major areas of activity. The Department is strongly interested in multidisciplinary research at the interfaces between Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Computer Science and Medicine. Partner organisations: We partner across interdisciplinary boundaries at King’s including the health schools and hospitals, and national and international universities, on wide-ranging themes covering the arts and humanities, law, healthcare, and social sciences. We also partner with policy makers, industry and cultural leaders.
