This International Corporate & Commercial Law LLM examines the legal frameworks that shape how companies are structured, governed and transact across borders. It explores corporate governance, corporate structures and shareholder relationships, alongside the legal foundations of international commercial activity. Through a global and comparative lens, you'll examine how corporate law drives business operations, decision-making and cross-border strategy. As a student, you'll engage with the key issues at the heart of corporate practice. These include the balance of power between directors, managers and shareholders, and the operation of boards and governance mechanisms. The programme also addresses mergers and acquisitions, corporate groups and restructuring in an international context. Core commercial transactions are explored, including international sales, carriage of goods, trade arrangements and arbitration. Sector-specific activity features throughout, including energy and global commerce.
