The MSc Law & Professional Practice is a two-year postgraduate degree, with the first year available as a stand-alone Postgraduate Diploma in Law (known as a PGDL, or a law conversion course). This is a conversion course providing a comprehensive and rigorous introduction to law and practice in preparation for the SQE and a legal career as a solicitor or barrister in an evolving and competitive sector. The programme is open to graduates obtaining a higher 2:1 degree classification, or above, who have not undertaken, nor are currently undertaking, legal education or training which substantially comprises the study of, and/or practice in, the laws of England and Wales. International students are reminded that it is their responsibility to ensure that their study programme meets their visa requirements both during and after the programme.
