Explore biotechnology research in marine sciences at Newcastle University.We invite proposals for MPhil and PhD biotechnology projects in the field of marine sciences.This biotechnology PhD and MPhil sits in the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE).Our work in marine sciences has led to pioneering advancements in developing novel antibiotics from marine organisms. Our advancements also include producing omega-3 oils from plankton. We also explore the industrial applications of marine organisms, including the development of environmentally-friendly antifouling coatings for marine vessels.
