Course SummaryMA Education - Educational Leadership offers the opportunity to study and research Educational Leadership to those who aspire to senior leadership positions. It is delivered in partnership with Teaching School Alliances, Multi-Academy Trusts, Diocesan offices, military, health, sport, outdoor education, local authorities and a wide range of other employers and organisations throughout the South-West and beyond.The MA Education - Educational Leadership course offers flexibility for busy professionals to engage in postgraduate study. It can be studied either part-time or full-time at our Plymouth campus or part-time at our Marjon Cornwall campus in Truro to fit in with professional and family commitments.The course ethos is informed, first and foremost, by a renowned student-centred approach focusing on developing and enhancing professionals’ practice and leadership expertise through a critical and reflective action research methodology.What might you become?Our graduates go on to progress their careers as aspirant and senior leaders in a wide variety of educational settings as, e.g. middle leaders, senior leaders, headteachers, advisers, consultants and trainers of leaders within their specialist field or setting.How will you be taught?Delivered through distance learning, focusing on 1:1 tutorials, practice-based conversations, professional focus groups, Saturday workshops and occasional key-note lectures at our Plymouth or Truro campuses.How will you be assessed?The key assessment method is action research which takes the form of small practice-focused projects (where appropriate) and a final-stage research dissertation.
