Course info

This MSc programme allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of engineering approaches to biological problems. Learn to use methods and techniques developed in traditional engineering fields, and adapt them to biomedical applications. This programme aims to equip you with the skills to develop new computational and technological products for use in the biomedical industries. You’ll take compulsory modules on biomedical engineering in urology, and ethics and regulatory affairs. The rest of your programme is determined by the specialism you choose. You'll have the option to choose modules in areas such as electronics, medical robotics, nanotechnology and nanomedicine, sensors and clinical measurements and more. Your research project forms a major part of your degree. It provides you with an excellent opportunity to take part in internationally-leading research within the School of Engineering and Materials Science, using our excellent facilities.
