Academic staff members typically publish in leading economics and finance journals, with publications over the REF 2021 period in American Economic Review, Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Finance, and many others.

Members of staff also have active collaborations with various governmental and non-governmental agencies, including the UK Treasury, Bank of England, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, OECD, and ILO.

Modules

This module constitutes the dissertation component of the MRes Economics and MRes Finance programmes. Students are required to produce a piece of original research under the supervision of a member of academic staff.

Entry requirements

A First Class Honours or above at undergraduate level in Economics, Finance or a related subject. Subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Engineering may also be considered. We will also consider applications from MSc graduates in Economics and related disciplines, although it is not a requirement that applicants have completed an MSc.
