How will the course be delivered?

For the September intake, the course will initially be delivered digitally via Regent Digital. The delivery of the course will then move to our campuses in London for the traditional engagement, subject to the viability of groups and future guidance on social distancing. Regent College London cannot guarantee the campus choice.

Students will also be given the option of blended learning, where they will attend digital classes for one day and attend classes at campus for traditional engagement for one day, subject to the viability of groups and future guidance on social distancing.

If there are not enough students enrolled at a particular campus, the course will be delivered digitally via Regent Digital with the teaching happening at another location, but streamed at the campus. Students will also achieve PgCert and PgDip exit awards during this course.

This module aims to provide you with a critical understanding of the strategic management process and the opportunity to develop and refine relevant skills in the practice of strategic management. You will gain experience of evaluating and analysing the challenges managers face in the development and deployment of strategy, and you will develop an advanced awareness of the need to consider a range of alternative approaches to dealing with strategic planning issues in order to achieve competitive advantage. To gain and enhance your critical knowledge and understanding you will consider and critically evaluate key stages of the organisations’ strategic planning process. By the end of the module you will have developed a superior appreciation of the processes and outcomes in the implementation of strategic choices facing an organisation.

You should have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Applications will also be considered where appropriate work experience can be demonstrated in lieu of, or in addition to, the published academic qualifications in line with the University’s Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) procedures. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
