Course info

The real estate sector plays a central and pivotal role within global and local economies – accounting for a major portion of the world’s total wealth and estimated at nearly four times world GDP.

This course is a highly specialised and advanced finance course that will equip you with the knowledge, expertise and personals skills necessary to embark on a career in real estate investment. It adopts a cross-disciplinary and multidimensional approach, covering a breadth of issues that provide you with a holistic, global view and empower you to excel as a professional in this field.

You’ll cover a breadth of issues (real estate investment, finance, asset valuation and the principles of portfolio optimisation across assets – including alternative investments) and you’ll critically discuss and reflect on the performance of markets in different contexts, examine valuation methods, explore analytics and quantitative methods and learn how to manage active portfolios.

Classes are designed to simulate a real-life experience of the real estate investment industry. You’ll work with industry experts and live data using the Refinitiv Eikon platform (among others) – gaining analytic research skills, exploring current financial issues, discussing contrasting perspectives and developing new ways of interpreting data and formulating strategies.

You’ll gain a spirit of intellectual curiosity and continual self-development, as well as developing your rational, emotional and social intelligence – enabling you to think and perform strategically when under pressure by estimating risk, maximising return and acting ethically.
