Offering a balance of broad-based study and specialist training, this MMus Music master’s course is designed to meet your needs whether you wish to develop the skills you’ll require to pursue further (ethno)musicological research within academia, or as a thorough grounding in advanced research and study skills that can be transferred across a wide range of careers.You will come away well-versed and well-practised in your chosen discipline of ethnomusicology/musicology, verbally and technically fluent, fully conversant with a broad range of issues of concern in your field, and able to present your ideas across a wide range of media.This degree is also available via the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) mode of study where students with ongoing professional careers take modules over a four or five-year period.Please note that the ‘Ethnomusicology/Musicology’ pathway title is for study purposes only and won’t be reflected in your degree title upon graduating.
