This course will develop your knowledge of clinical psychology and your professional and research skills. You’ll be taught by clinical psychologists and psychology staff, and undertake a placement.

You’ll be based in our £30 million Science Centre in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, complete with research labs and teaching spaces.

Our work contributes to knowledge in the academic community as well as being relevant to practitioners, policy-makers and the wider community. We already run a suite of undergraduate psychology courses and a well-established Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, so have experienced staff to support you through your studies.

On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology.

Assessment

There are two types of assessments: practice (also called formative) or formal (also called summative).

Practice assessments do not count towards your final mark. These are your chance to test your understanding and learn how to improve for the real thing.

You’ll have formal assessments at the end of each module. These could include essays, exams, or portfolios.
