The MSc in Aerospace Engineering provides a rigorous and systematic understanding of the field, equipping you with the critical awareness and insight required to become a credible aerospace engineer. You will benefit from a research-led and industry-informed curriculum, across aerodynamics, structural mechanics, materials, flight dynamics, and simulation, ensuring that your learning connects theory with authentic engineering challenges in sustainability, digitalisation, and space systems.Your studies will encimpass a blend of theory and hands-on learning. You will be prepared in the theory and operation of aeronautical vehicles, from propeller-driven and jet-powered planes, to helicopers and gliders, encompassing design, analysis, testing and flight. Practical experience is embedded throughout our programme, and your studies will be further enriched through access to our world-class aerospace facilities, including one of the world’s most advanced flight simulators, housed in the School of Engineering.
