COURSE OVERVIEW

The MSc in Nanoscience to Nanotechnology course enables you to understand the fundamental principles of physics and engineering with major consequences for nanotechnology.

You will develop knowledge around how general concepts of nanoscience research are transferred into engineering applications and products.

Accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), this course covers the techniques necessary for scientific investigation at extremely small dimensions, and the latest research developments in this rapidly evolving area.

Modules

Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the properties of colloids and their importance in industry. This module is assessed by a combination of examination and continual assessment. In order for the continual assessment marks to count, you must achieve at least 40% in the exam component. If you achieve less than 40% in the exam, then the module mark will be just the exam mark.
