Environmental management involves the protection and conservation of natural resources, from the air we breathe, to the water we drink to the ecosystems that support life to the renewable and non-renewable energy and materials that are exploited for modern living and the disposal of waste. You gain knowledge and skills needed to navigate the scientific, social, technological, and regulatory aspects of an environmental management career. You learn how to communicate scientific principles clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders from local community members/groups to national/international governing bodies. On the MSc Environmental Management (Advanced Placement) programme, the second year is spent with an external organisation or in an internal internship with one of our academic experts. You gain experience as a professional engaged in applied research and/or environmental management-relevant work.
