Course Summary

If you want to play your part in improving healthcare by supporting organisations to make better use of information and technology, this course is an excellent option.

Jointly run by the two largest teams in health informatics in the UK – UCL and The University of Manchester – you will gain insights into the design and implementation of the digital systems used to deliver healthcare today.

Get to grips with the technical detail behind approaches to software engineering, and learn how to implement different systems, as well as supporting change. You will also acquire skills in analysing and presenting data.

The course is supported by the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme and other employers. You will join a cohort from diverse educational and technical backgrounds, this multidisciplinary learning experience is one of the strengths of the course.

The course is delivered through a mix of face-to-face teaching and online learning, designed to fit around your working life.

A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. A relevant Masters degree from an appropriately accredited institution is desirable.
