Course Summary

The MSc Management at UCL is a highly competitive international programme. It provides students with a solid understanding of practical managerial issues coupled with a strong foundation in current theoretical debates. It consists of two pathways: Finance (for students with relevant background in finance and accounting) and Corporate. As a student on this programme, you will develop knowledge and understanding of diverse organisations and their management in the context of complexity and change. You will be able to demonstrate a critical appreciation of relevant theory and how it can be applied in practise to manage people, organisations and their external environments. You will learn about the use of analytical methods and techniques for scanning, selecting and anlysing business and management information in a systematic way.

The programme is designed to enhance career prospects through the advanced study of business and management topics. It aims to educate graduates to make an early and substantial contribution to their future employer in broad areas, from management of operations and finance, to marketing and strategy. You are prepared to assume key managerial and leadership roles in your field, being able to apply independent and critical analysis to a variety of management disciplines and developing your own research in the domains of business and management studies.
