The Psychology PGCE prepares you to teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5 (14-19 age range) in a flexible and exciting way. Our underlying aim is to develop reflective, inquiring and empathetic Psychology teachers who are committed to social justice, equity, inclusion and diversity. We draw on current research at IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society and elsewhere to inform student's Psychology teaching, encouraging them to engage with recent debates, literature and policy in the field. Our underlying aim is to develop reflective, inquiring, empathetic Psychology teachers who are committed to social justice, equity, inclusion and diversity. The Psychology PGCE will feature four Intensive Teaching and Practice (ITAP) sequences designed to establish and develop your Psychology teaching through the year.
