Course Summary

Basic, policy and industry informed research on the impact of human nutrition on cells, tissues, whole body and population health. The Rowett Institute at the University of Aberdeen conducts world class research on the relationship between diet & health, playing a major role in the UK research capability in nutrition and human health and through the years has also made a significant impact on animal health and nutrition. Among the many strengths of the Rowett Institute are its state of the art facilities including a human nutrition unit, core facilities for metabolite, DNA and protein analysis and suites of modern purpose designed research laboratories.

Typically but not always depending on other experience, CHERI PhD candidates would have an Honours degree in medicine, psychology, sociology, health services research, education or similar, and a taught Masters in a topic such as research methods.
