The units offer a comprehensive study of renewable energy, environment, sustainability, electrical and electronic systems and underpinning research, bridging the gap between theory and practice through topics such as energy environment and economics. This approach combines the traditional and modern engineering to solve energy problems for the future.Students pursuing an MSc in Renewable and Sustainable Energy come from diverse academic backgrounds, including engineering, environmental science, physics, and economics. They typically have a strong foundation in energy systems, sustainability, and climate change mitigation. Prior experience in renewable energy projects, research, or industry roles, working on technologies such as solar, wind, bioenergy, and hydropower is encouraged but not essential. Their motivation is often driven by a passion for clean energy innovation, energy policy, and reducing carbon footprints. With a commitment to addressing global energy challenges, they aim to develop sustainable solutions that balance economic growth with environmental responsibility.Throughout the course, you will participate in practical exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios to find energy solutions sustainably. You will also learn the social, economic and legal aspects around energy generation, and other relevant organizations to gain insights of real-world applications through guest lectures and field visits.In addition, you will learn Research Methodologies, which will enhance your research skills and knowledge. You are also required to conduct a MSc Renewable and Sustainable Energy to showcase how you can develop an artefact based on the knowledge and skills they have acquired. The units are also related to professional courses in their respective areas, enabling you to get the professional certifications along with their academic qualifications.
