Course highlights The Department of Modern Languages is an interdisciplinary hub of research. We welcome research proposals that go beyond subject boundaries. You can be jointly supervised by an academic specialising in Russian studies and another from a different discipline, depending on your research interests. We have particular strengths in joint supervisions with departments in the College of Social Sciences and School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. Benefit from the research expertise of our Centre for Russian, European and Eurasian Studies. Our academic expertise includes specialisms in Russophone literatures, culture and translation studies. Access archives and resources from the Baykov Collection at our Cadbury Research Library and Orchard Learning Resource Centre.
