Research
The MPhil is assessed by a written thesis and by an oral examination and is suited to those who wish to pursue research at a level beyond that of an undergraduate degree and will give a good basic training in laboratory work. It is not suitable for candidates who wish to undertake a master's degree with major and examined course components in order to enhance their undergraduate training.

Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK 2.1 Honours Degree. Honours degree in Pharmacology or a related subject including Cellular or Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Physiology and Neuroscience is required.
