Course Summary

As a health care practitioner our MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner programme will set you up to lead and develop your practice. You’ll learn how to work innovatively and to a high autonomous level combining the four pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice.

You’ll meet Health Education England (2017) descriptors for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

These include managing clinical care in partnership with individuals, families and carers and analysing and synthesising complex problems across a range of settings.

Advanced Clinical Practitioners are experienced clinicians who could be working in hospitals, general practice, individuals’ homes, schools and prisons, and in the public, independent, private and charity sectors.

Advanced Clinical Practitioners look after people’s physical and mental healthcare and in acute, primary, urgent and emergency settings.

It’s a role that combines expert clinical skills with research, education and clinical leadership within their scope of practice.
