Course Summary

If youre a dental professional and youd like to mentor others our Advanced Certificate Mentoring in Dental Practice is for you. The course will equip you to support others to fulfil the requirements of professional practice in dental care or, whove been the subject of a Fitness to Practise review.

This double module, of 40 credits, combines a one-day access course, for would be mentors who dont have a teaching qualification, with a series of five day-long taught and interactive workshops spread over a 12-week period. Theres also a supportive programme of e-learning activities and resources.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be experienced dentists/dental care professionals currently registered with the General Dental Council with the ability to benefit from study at Level 7 (providing evidence on the application form of former study at level 6 or above, or considerable experience of relevant professional development activities) and willing to undertake the role of mentor in dental practice.
