MA - Master of Arts
Publishing
Taught
Welcome to the award-winning MA Publishing at the University of Central Lancashire. We have been teaching Publishing for over a decade. Our curriculum has been designed with student, alumni and industry consultation. This includes professionals from Penguin Random House, Harper Collins, Macmillan and Hachette.
The MA is affiliated with UCLan Publishing, an award-winning independent Publishing house which operates out of the university. Students will have full access to the resources throughout their studies to gain practical skills and the industry experience vital for a successful career in Publishing.
UCLan Publishing is recognised on both sides of the fence: in academia and in industry. We have won the prestigious Times Higher Award for Innovation in the Arts (2018) and in industry we won the Nick Robinson Newcomer Award at the Independent Publishing Awards (2019).
Students from the MA Publishing have gone on to have successful careers in industry. We have graduates working in editorial, marketing, design, sales and rights. We have also had students go on to work in related professions such as Head of Communications and PR.
