Course info

Forensic anthropology is the study of the human, or what remains of the human, for medico-legal purposes. It plays a key role in cases such as unidentified human remains, homicides, disasters, and war crimes.

This course offers expert teaching in the analysis of skeletal remains. This prepares you for careers in forensic science, law enforcement, and related fields.

You’ll work with real human skeletal collections, including:

  • the Scheuer collection of juvenile remains
  • our adult and animal osteology collections

On our MSc course you will learn how forensic anthropology contributes to the analysis and interpretation of human remains.

Our staff are experienced forensic practitioners who bring real-world expertise to your studies. This will help you develop specialist skills.
