You will study the diverse international banking systems, money, investments, and regulations which have become increasingly important in recent years. We offer options to focus on key banking areas including investment management and risk/regulation.

Modules

The module aims to provide students with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the context and circumstances surrounding financial regulations and investment practice currently in force in the UK and around the world. The module will also provide students with a critical awareness of the ethical issues relating to investment practice. The module will equip students with current regulatory developments in the UK and globally. Finally, the module will discuss the global implications of systemic financial regulatory failure given the interdependencies of the global economy.

Entry requirements

Equivalent of a UK 2:2 degree in any subject which has enabled the applicant to develop analytical and quantitative skills. If you are concerned that your qualifications do not meet our normal expectation you may apply, but you should include a short personal statement concerning your general interest in your own education, work experience and prior relevant learning. Places are limited and early application is advised even for well-qualified candidates.
