Course Summary

Management and International Marketing MSc: You will be given an overview of traditional marketing approaches, alongside the latest trends in digital marketing, search marketing and customer design. Many businesses have the approach that all their staff are responsible in some way for marketing. Good managers will have a strong understanding of marketing and a focus on the customer/competitor.

Develop strategies to manage global challenges and opportunities facing businesses, whether it is a business you work in, or your own business that you are looking to establish. You will develop the knowledge to manage people, processes, systems, and operations.

You will gain an in-depth understanding of contemporary business and management issues and be encouraged to critique the theories and concepts of the business and management environment.

You will develop effective team working skills in preparing and making presentations in key areas of management. You'll also improve your critical awareness and synthesis skills and apply these to problem solving. These skills will benefit you throughout your career, but particularly useful in management/leadership roles.

Accreditation

This course is accredited to CMI Level 7 Certificate in Management and Leadership

Careers:

If you have previously studied business, the MSc Management course can help you to develop your career into a managerial role. If you have never studied business previously, you will be able to use your new-found knowledge to launch a career in business. We have seen many graduates who have continued working in areas related to their undergraduate studies but now have stronger business and management knowledge.

The pathway you choose also helps indicate to employers the area you have the most interest in, whether you are looking to progress in the management of people, business strategy, operations, finance or marketing/enterprise. Graduates move into all sizes of business and across all sectors. Many graduates have launched their own businesses.

Modules

This module will provide participants with knowledge of the conceptual vocabulary and fields of application of ?customer experience design? as a system that examines processes, activities and tasks. Interactions between consumers, users and service delivery platforms from a range of operational sites -such as museums, hospitals, restaurants, banks, cinemas, theatres, shopping malls, urban regeneration, hotels, theme parks, as well as events including sporting, music, festivals for example- will be explored. Of particular interest is planning for ?consumer experience? that drives community engagement, wellbeing and cultural transformation. This will connect strongly to a local case study.
