Course Summary

The School of Health Sciences (SHS) strives to transform lives through applied health research, within a vibrant research community within our school and the wider university.Our research activity is led by the Mother and Infant Research Unit, our People, Health and Communities programme, and the Scottish Improvement Science Collaborating Centre (SISCC) which is hosted by the School. Research projects within these thematic and expanding programmes are welcomed with particular reference to population health, rehabilitation, older people, maternal and child health, health improvement and improvement science, mental health, and digital living.Methodological expertise includes systematic reviews, evidence synthesis and integrative data analysis, as well as a range of health and related research methods, for example social and behavioural science, human computer interaction and design.We have a strong track record in research capacity both nationally and in disciplines including midwifery and allied health professions. Our researchers also have expertise in applied health sciences, and educational research.
