Course Summary

This course is designed to meet the current global diplomacy priorities and capacity building. You’ll build expertise and knowledge in advanced areas of cyber diplomacy, cross- cultural theory, and research in applied cyber defence management. Develop leadership skills to guide and mentor others in cyber diplomacy demonstrate an understanding of confidence building measures as well as the sociopolitical complexities and legal challenges stemming from issues of attribution, accountability, and sovereignty. You’ll also facilitate advanced understanding of data, intelligence and decision making in cyberspace. In addition to enhancing your capacity to apply current research in applied diplomat management to aspects of your work.This programme includes six taught modules and a Research Thesis. For those studying full time there are two years of research. For those studying part time, there are two years of taught modules and three years of research.This programme uniquely qualifies students in a world in which more countries are acquiring offensive cyber capabilities, cyber diplomacy to prevent escalation or wrongful attribution of cyberattacks. A 2.1 Honours in Computer Science, Businesses, Politics, Economics (or an equivalent degree) from a recognised UK HE institution.Exceptionally, applicants without first degrees but who have significant, relevant work experience will be considered for entry. All such applicants will be subject to an interview.We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications
