Modules

People often talk about the fact that we live in a global society with more linkages to elsewhere in the world than ever before and greater connectivity and mobility. But what does it mean to live in a global society? How is education manifested and what role does it play in this? These are the key questions which you will critically explore as part of your studies on this module. The module will offer you a unique opportunity to consider education in terms of its local, national and international dimensions, as well as to explore the linkages (i.e. local-global connections). Your study will involve critical examination of a wide range of economic, cultural, political and environmental factors which considered to shape, and be shaped by, education.
