You'll explore technologies behind systems like AlphaZero, Siri, and Alexa, and learn to analyse and create future technologies.Option set two in Design and Manufacturing emphasises technical expertise in Computer Aided Manufacturing and Product Design Engineering. You'll learn to create, test, and optimise designs for real-world applications. This option also covers advanced digital technologies, AI-driven solutions, and topics like Advanced Rapid Prototyping and Digital Engineering, providing practical experience in state-of-the-art design and production techniques.This two-year degree with Industrial Practice is an innovative combination of theory and practice. You'll have the chance to put your learning into action through an individual project, followed by a placement with a relevant employer. The placement is an ideal opportunity to work and engage with state-of-the-art industrial systems, processes and practices while reflecting on your personal development.On successful completion, you will emerge from this course as a well-rounded professional engineer.
