Content Management (30 credits) - Core

The course aims to introduce students to the tools, methods and technologies involved with the management of content datasets across a range of scales.

Design for Web Content (30 credits) - Core

The course aims to introduce students to the technical and aesthetic aspects of design for web content.

Inclusive and Sustainable Web Design (15 credits) - Core

The aims of the new module content are to promote inclusive and sustainable web design best practices, encourage a user-centred approach and cultivate ethical awareness among students. It equips them with the foundation principles necessary to build a resilient web accessible to everyone.

Major Project (60 credits) - Core

This module has a focus on digital content and social media strategies and how they can be used to drive traffic to web properties by taking a user-centred approach to their creation and delivery. The course also covers the careful shaping of web content for search engine optimisation and the important role of analytics in measuring the success of our efforts.

User Experience Design (15 credits) - Core

The course aims to introduce students to the concepts of content strategy and how it can be used to design content that is rich, authoritative, attractive, easily accessible and appropriate to the target audience. The course also introduces students to online promotion and marketing, using “white-hat” SEO techniques and social media.
