Our MSc Global Health Management course will provide you with a solid grounding in management and leadership in global health. You will learn to apply management theories and data handling skills to address real-world health problems. The programme is ideal for those who are keen to develop their management strengths for a career in Health and Social Care, Health Management Consultancy, or International Development.

This Master’s degree Global Health Management provides critical management perspectives for global health and healthcare leaders to innovate and lead tomorrow’s health service provision at local, national, and global levels. The programme is designed to help students develop core competences and capabilities for managing strategically, leading innovation and systems change, managing human and non-human resources, applying core principles of health economics and finance, critical thinking, and judgement, and implementing research.

Some lectures are delivered online, which allows you to study flexibly and arrange your studies around your other commitments. It also requires a lot of discipline and you will need to dedicate enough time for self-study.

You learn online using a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This allows you to access electronic study resources and forums to discuss course material and work collaboratively with others. You also have access to online resources via our library.

On this course, students are assessed via a range of employment-related activities. These may include academic posters, oral presentations, reports, work based projects, small scale research, essay and exams. Some modules may also include 'practice' assessments, which help you to make continual improvement.
