The Master’s in Project Management (International) by distance learning allows graduates and professionals to update their skills in line with the evolving demands of the construction industry. Whether you're already working in the construction industry or looking to start a career, this two-year master's in project management by distance learning prepares you for the demands and opportunities ahead. Students on this course learn to demonstrate ways of matching design and production to the needs of the market for built space. It also helps you to think strategically and respond creatively to volatile economic conditions. This course is aimed at individuals from built environment and architectural background seeking management and leadership roles within the construction, property and surveying practices industry. It also designed for mid-career professionals preparing to make the transition into the construction and property industries.

The School of Design has an Employability Officer for postgraduate students to consult about specific opportunities relevant to the course. They work closely with professionals in industry to ensure you are well-prepared for the workplace and have already begun to build your professional network by the time you graduate.

Modules

The aim of this module is to develop an awareness, appreciation and understanding of management theory and principles and their application to the construction industry and professions, whilst applying these skills to different situations in property development and construction.

Entry requirements

You should have a 2:2 honours degree or an equivalent qualification in a built environment discipline such as civil engineering, construction, surveying or architecture. We will consider undergraduate degrees in other disciplines on an individual basis. Alternatively, we will consider relevant experience with membership of an appropriate professional body.
