About the course

Our Microfluidics and Microengineering research is concerned with the development of novel microengineered devices, biodetection systems and turnkey microfluidics-enabled systems. Our unit has a dedicated clean room and laboratory facilities with some state-of-the-art equipment. Our research is supported by government agencies and industry.

What’s next for my career?

Our MSc by Research courses enable students to develop specialist research skills and knowledge. We aim to provide research projects that will challenge and in some cases even inspire our students. Entry requirements

Applicants must have a First class Honours BEng degree in a relevant Engineering discipline including Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, etc. Strong applicants with a 2.1 qualification may also be considered. Personal attributes including a drive to conduct research, self-motivation and the ability to work independently and within a team are essential.
