About the programme
The University of Hertfordshire offers a PhD in Physiotherapy which can be undertaken on a full or part time basis with experienced and internationally renowned staff. Our emphasis is on research in the broad Musculoskeletal area though this does not exclude other research fields.
We recognise that students require support during their time with us. Successful students will have the opportunity to undertake non credit bearing modules with the Researcher Development Programme (RDP) which offers over 100 courses and events that support research students. Support is provided via access to the learning resource centre, doctoral college and academic support.

Teaching methods
The PhD in Physiotherapy is a not a taught course. Students are expected to initiate their learning and development through seeking out opportunities provided by the University. Your supervisors will assist and support you throughout your time with us. The PhD programme can be undertaken on a full or part time basis and we endeavour to provide a fully supportive research and learning environment with flexible supervision to enhance your experience and help you to make the most of your research learning time with us.
