About the course

This course places emphasis on a market-oriented, customer driven approach to planning and implementing marketing strategies. You’ll develop knowledge and skills to undertake strategic analysis of markets, and create, adapt and implement strategy.

You’ll have the opportunity to gain a critical understanding of the rapidly changing and dynamic international business environment, and the skills needed to analyse the strategies and operations of multinational enterprises l. This programme will provide the opportunity for you to study a wide range of topics in international business, from both a theoretical and practical perspective.

The course is designed to enable you to tailor it to your own personal and career interests, with a number of option modules available.

Further Study

Opportunities for course progression include the traditional PhD or a Master’s by Research; a one year, full-time research degree. It contains little or no formal taught component and is attractive if you want a briefer research-based degree or prepare for a full PhD.

As you develop professionally through your subject studies you will increase consciousness of your individual cultural make-up and the impact of this on behaviour, relationships and worldview in order to navigate beyond the borders of your own culture. You will develop a conscious approach to effective global practice, responding positively to difference, and constructing strategies to deal with intercultural workplace encounters.

Entry requirements for this course are normally: An Honours degree (2:2 or above), or equivalent qualification, in Business Studies, Marketing, Management, Logistics, Accountancy or Economics. Applicants with other professional qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.
