Kent is recognised as an Academic Centre of Excellence in cyber security research by the UK Government. You’ll learn from lecturers and researchers who have decades of experience in the subject, many of whom are actively working on cutting-edge research with industry partners. Notable partners include innovative firms such as Oracle, Nvidia, GCHQ and Google. You will discover how to apply computing principles to diverse sectors including health, finance and education, and develop your research, communication and teamwork skills. Our course is also designed to be hands-on, with projects that mimic real-world problems faced by employers. You will discover how to identity, analyse and address security issues; how to manage data securely and ethically, and how to rise to challenges individually and in teams. You also have the opportunity to test your abilities in a paid placement in a real workplace environment.
