This course will give an overview of the key principles and issues within the field of corporate governance today. It will cover three main areas: corporate governance in its narrow sense; company compliance with a focus on regulatory requirements for companies; and risk management with a focus on risk frameworks. Topics covered will include: the board of directors and leadership; disclosure; risk management and internal control; corporate governance systems, controls and issues; regulatory requirements for companies; and managing risk and compliance.
