An MA by Research (MAR) in the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science allows you to take independent research at Masters level. For many, this is perfect springboard for a PhD. You will research and write a thesis of approximately 30,000 words on a subject of your choice. With close one-to-one supervision, you’ll be supported to deliver a project that meets your needs.
