Course overviewOur International Law LLM allows you to choose from an extensive range of public international law modules, allowing you to tailor your qualification to your academic interests and career goals. You will have the opportunity to study a range of specialist areas including international criminal law; international environmental law; United Nations law; and international humanitarian law.The University of Nottingham has a long and distinguished tradition in the study of international law. This practical application of academic knowledge allows you to see how international law can have a tangible impact.Research-led teachingThe School of Law is home to the Nottingham International Law and Security Centre (NILSC), directed by Professor Dino Kritsiotis. Our experts develop thinking around many of the challenges facing society today, including climate change, food security, terrorism, military and maritime security, cyber-security and global economic crises.NILSC’s research and activities underpin our teaching and offer a range of opportunities for you to participate in our activities, from voluntary placements to paid summer internships.
