On this course youll learn how policy decisions affect key global issues around inequality, migration, and social justice.If youre already working in policy making or want to transition into it, then this course is designed for you. School alumni are currently working in NGOs, local or national governments, and international organisations. You can read more about their experiences in our alumni profiles.Youll build a portfolio of practical, work-ready skills thanks to our various assessment methods. These include:research and analysisreport writinggroup workposter presentationsAn important skill for long-term career development is personal reflection. You’ll be encouraged to nurture this skill in your final project, with a reflective diary showing how you have developed as a learner.This course relates to many of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), preparing you for what youll tackle in the world of work today and in the future. In particular, the modules Global Poverty, Inequality and Policy, International Organisations and Global Governance, and Welfare and Social Policy Around the World are all closely linked to the SDGs.You’ll be taught by staff who are not only active researchers but who have practitioner experience too, working with governments, community organisations, and international and supranational organisations.
