The Centre for Academic Primary Care undertakes high quality, clinically impactful applied research to improve the health and primary health care of individuals and communities. Our internationally leading research areas include precision healthcare, clinical risk prediction, safety of medicines, and prevention research through population, community and individual behaviour change interventions in smoking cessation and injury prevention. We have expertise in carrying out research using a range of methodologies including randomised controlled trials, systematic reviews, developing complex interventions, mixed-methods and qualitative research, database epidemiology, advanced data science (including machine learning), risk prediction modelling, health psychology, health economics, and implementation research.
